Purpose of this Website:
The purpose of this website is to help spread information about cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is currently a hot-topic and is something we are starting to hear about more and more. Also, there is not much of a common definition or universal notion of what cyberbullying is. This website is our effort to combine many different sources into one concise source that anyone can access to find out more information about what cyberbullying is, how prevalent it is, the consequences it can have, as well as ways to stop cyberbullying once it has started or strategies to prevent it entirely.
Throughout this website, there will be quotes taken from interviews with Officer Jonathon Westfield of the Champaign Police Department and Chad Rose, whose research focuses on bullying, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We would like to thank these gentlemen for allowing us the time to speak with them about this issue and use their words on our website. For full transcripts of the interviews, please visit our page here.
